The Artificial Intelligence Group

The AI Group is working on the forefront of modelling uncertainty and vagueness in AI. Our focus is on developing theories, methods and algorithms for knowledge representation and reasoning under uncertainty. The methods we develop are then applied to real world problems in engineering, information processing and elsewhere. A direct link between theory and application is made possible by our central position in the Faculty of Engineering.
