Call for Papers

UKCI-03 invites contributions of full papers (of up to eight pages) and student papers (of up to 4 pages) in all areas of Computational Intelligence.

Relevant topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Theoretical foundations
    Mathematical and statistical models; learning strategies and systems; automated reasoning; uncertainty management, transparency and interpretability; smart and adaptive mechanisms; logical and philosophical issues.
  • Problem-solving methods
    Monitoring and control; estimation and identification; prediction and simulation; clustering and classification; interpretation and recognition; optimisation and planning; data mining and knowledge discovery.
  • Applications
    Industrial automation; adaptive control; autonomous robotics; time series analysis; signal processing; image understanding; information retrieval; Web intelligence; e-commerce; biomedical informatics; multimedia and telecommunications.
  • Hybrid Systems
    Symbolic and non-symbolic; fuzzy and neural; evolutionary and neural; fuzzy and probabilistic; hierarchical and purpose-built.
  • Survey and methodological Issues
    Classifying and relating CI approaches; evaluating CI approaches; criteria for selecting CI methods.
