Codimension-two bifurcations in nonsmooth dynamical systems

University of Bristol, 25-26 July 2003

On 25th and 26th July, an informal meeting took place in Bristol on codimension-two bifurcations in nonsmooth dynamical systems. The meeting was part of the activities of the Bristol Centre of Applied Nonlinear Mathematics (Theme B: Bifurcations in nonsmooth dynamical systems). The aim of the meeting, which was highly informal, was to have open discussions on how to address the study of higher codimension bifurcations in nonsmooth systems. By integrating our experience and know-how, we were able to define a tentative outline of a research programme to be carried out together on the study of such higher-codimension phenomena.

Meeting Location

The meeting was held in rooms MR1 and MR2 of the Department of Archeology (ex Baptist College), University Walk; building no. 61 in square E5 on the University precinct map. Visitor accommodation will be in the Royal Fort Gatehouse (building no. 50 in square F4 on the University precinct map.)

Directions for how to travel to BCANM are also available.
